The Atlantic City Convention Center is "Your
Northeast Business Address." Opened May
1, 1997, it contains 500,000 square feet of
contiguous space, more on one floor than most
other convention centers. It occupies a site
of 31 acres and was erected at a cost of $268
million. Built under the auspices of the New
Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA),
the Convention Center is the centerpiece of
a multi-million dollar redevelopment plan
that includes the $90 million renovations
to Historic Boardwalk Hall, the Grand Boulevard,
the Sheraton Convention Center Hotel, The
Walk, Atlantic City’s newest retail
and entertainment complex, and many new casino
expansion projects.
